IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 155-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 17.04 g, 12 h), Attic standard. Erasippos, son of Aristeos, magistrate. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver over her shoulder. Rev. MAΓNHTΩN - EPAΣIΠΠOΣ / APIΣTEOY Apollo standing left on maeander pattern, holding filleted laurel branch in his lowered right hand and leaning his left elbow on a tall tripod behind him; all within laurel wreath. BMC 37. Jones obv. die 28. SNG Berry 1067. SNG von Aulock 2042. Lightly toned and of lovely Hellenistic style. Light die breaks on the obverse and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, extremely fine.
